Have you ever done this? You get super jazzed up about something and maybe go a tad overboard. Then you sit and wonder what the heck you’ve done! A few summers ago I went on a grocery shopping trip and found organic blueberries on sale. I LOVE blueberries! I am not going to totally embarrass myself by admitting how many pints of fresh blueberries I bought that day. Let’s just say A LOT! I have a hard time turning down a good deal on something I love, what can I say? Well, I got all those delicious blueberries home and had to figure out the best way to preserve my blueberries. I figured out how to freeze blueberries and will never have to be without them again!
(Since that sale shopping frenzy, I have purchased my OWN blueberry bushes. So, I still freeze blueberries all the time in the summer.)

Learning how to freeze blueberries is SO super simple!
Freezing blueberries is really the best way to preserve blueberries.
You will need a few blueberry freezing supplies. A baking sheet (I LOVE this baking sheet, super cheap and long lasting). And you will need some freezer bags (I use these with the zippers so I don’t get any freezer burn on my yummy berries!)
First, you will want to take your blueberries and make sure they are rinsed off.
Next, lay them on a single layer on your baking sheet. Stick that baking sheet in the freezer until they are frozen solid. (This usually takes just a couple of hours.)
Then dump them off the baking sheet into your freezer bags.
Finally, stick the freezer bags full of yummy blueberries back into the freezer.
What to do with all your frozen blueberries?
I love to eat the blueberries (still frozen) straight out of the freezer. You can also use them in recipes – like adding them to pancakes or muffins.
You could get extra fancy and make your blueberry dishes AND then freeze them as freezer meals.
