So, you are interested in living more frugally or you are trying to live more frugally, but are struggling. We have all been there! It is really difficult to go from living one way and then changing things around. It takes conscious thought, planning and some self-control. When my husband and I got married, he was used to not being as thoughtful and frugal with his budget as I was accustomed to. We had both decided to go back to school and move to the beach right after our wedding. With these changes, our finances were going to be particularly tight. So, it was really important to get him into a frugal mindset. Learning how to make frugal decisions is really important. Frugal Living – What Does it Mean to Live Frugally?
Almost everyday, I have a similar conversation with my husband about paper towels. I use one and if it is not “totally” used, I leave it on the counter – to use again later, of course. He often jokes that I must be older than I am because I act like I grew up during the Great Depression — ya know, with all the wanting to overuse things like paper towels. But I definitely don’t think I am “overusing” them, I mean why throw out a perfectly good (and reuseable) paper towel?! You see, I am all about frugal living, and there is NO WAY I am wasting those paper towels — that’s like throwing money in the trash!
